The following TERMS AND CONDITIONS apply when purchasing this product:
1. BPD FICMs will NOT be accepted for Return/Refund once the SEALED BAG has been opened. The ONLY exception will be in the case of a factory defect, which will be exchanged for a LIKE model.
2. It is YOUR responsibility to verify which FICM is installed in your truck (4-pin or 7-pin), using the images and videos provided on the left side of this page as a guide. DO NOT JUST ASSUME WHICH FICM YOU HAVE BY THE MODEL YEAR OF THE TRUCK!
3.
You can NOT mix pin counts between the FICM Power Supply and the FICM Logic Board, doing so WILL
Destroy both components! Per #1 above, once a BPD FICM has been opened, it will NOT be taken back and exchanged if you ordered the incorrect model...make sure you order the right model!
4. If you are purchasing a BDP FICM to resolve a problem with your truck, it is YOUR responsibility to properly diagnose the problem and confirm that a replacement FICM is the correct solution. "My buddy said it's the FICM" is NOT a proper diagnosis, unless your buddy has actually checked the FICM voltage with a multimeter, and confirmed that no other part of the truck is the cause of the problem.
5. There are a number of concerns that are commonly related to an improperly functioning FICM (rough idle, engine miss, cold start issue, hot re-start issue, loss of power, loss of fuel economy, etc.). It is VERY IMPORTANT to understand that these same concerns can be caused by other problems in the vehicle (injector "stiction" or other injector problem, turbocharger performance, compression problem, etc). The BDP FICM will ONLY resolve problems that are directly related to the performance of the stock FICM power supply.
6. This product does NOT qualify for Free Shipping.
The Fuel Injection Control Module (commonly called a FICM) is found on all Ford 6.0L diesel engines. A properly working stock FICM should deliver about 48v to the injector, but as many 6.0L owners have found out, this is not always the case. It has become very common to find stock 6.0L FICMs making significantly less voltage, which leads to a number of drivability problems.
The stock FICM is made up of 2 main components, the
Power Supply and the
Logic Board. The power supply portion of the stock FICM is where the problems occur. The Bullet Proof Diesel FICM is a significantly upgraded Power Supply that gets used in conjunction with
your existing Logic Board. As such, there is NO reprogramming required to use the BDP FICM.
The BDP FICM Power Supply features:
• A Much Thicker, Vibration-Resistant Printed Circuit Board
• All Military Grade Electronic Components
• A Full Board Heat-Sink and Strong Circuit Board Construction
• An All-Billet Aluminum Housing for Improved Heat Dissipation (and an Awesome Look)
The BDP FICM is NOT capable of being turned up higher than 48V like modified stock FICMs.
BDP testing and customer feedback have revealed a number of positive side effects from using the BDP FICM, including increased fuel economy and performance, faster starting and better cold engine driveability.
NOTE: The warranty on the BDP FICM ONLY covers manufacturers defects. This item is NOT returnable once the sealed bag has been opened.
NOTE: This BDP FICM is the POWER SUPPLY ONLY. This product will require you to swap out the power supply on your FICM. This is easy to do and is completely explained in the installation manual. Click on the "Installation Instructions" link above to review this information now (select your vehicle Year, Make and Model if you have not already).
