Age and exposure to diesel fuel, coupled with the force of sloshing fuel in the tank, has broken off many fuel tank pickup screens.  The result will be a truck that "runs out of fuel and shuts down" when there is still up to 1/4 tank of fuel remaining.  If you are having this problem, there is a very good chance that your stock pickup screen assembly is broken off.  Whether you are fixing a problem or are going to be installing one of our Fuel Tank / Pre-Pump kits (7.3L only) and just want a bit of "insurance", this replacement pickup screen will take care of your needs.

great product. I purchased this with the Driven Diesel pre tank, pickup kit. OEM part so perfect fit stock or on the kit

Response:To the best of our knowledge, this same screen can be used for Ford diesel pickups back to the 80s. We don't know specifically what year, but we haven't had one it didn't fit yet.
