Description

Billet Water Pump Assembly - 100mm Impeller

The Bullet Proof Diesel Billet Water Pump is designed for maximum durability. It features an aluminum impeller in place of the OEM plastic impeller, top of the line bearing assembly, top-grade seal and an all-billet precision machined housing. This stronger impeller resists cracking along the hub, helping to prevent impeller failures, overheating engines and expensive repairs. The aluminum impeller is also stiffer and stronger and therefore less likely to flex under heavy loads, leading to less cavitation and less erosion within the front cover. The billet housing is strong and more precise than a typical water pump cast housing. The top of the line bearing and seal are designed to go the distance.

If you have a 4EA or 4EB VIN code (read below) then you might want to measure your impeller size before ordering to ensure the proper size and fitment. Please call if you have any questions so that we can help you with getting the right Bullet Proof Diesel water pump.

Need help with your production date? If you have a 2003 you are in the 2003-2004.25 production date (90mm). If you have a 2005 or newer, you have a 2004.25 and newer production date (100mm). If you have a 2004 model you need to check your VIN code to determine your production date...and you may still need to measure your current pump. This is especially true if the engine has ever had the front cover and water pump replaced!

A sample VIN code is: 1FTRW21P24EB10150. In the middle of the VIN code, you see the digits "4EB". The 4 means that it was a 2004 model year. The "E" denotes which production plant built your truck. In this case, E is for Kentucky. Lastly, the "B" is the start of the sequence number (the last 6 digits of the VIN). Some early 2004 models have a "4EA" code. The "A" denotes the early build and most likely is a 2003-2004.25 production date. A "B", "C", "D" or more all denote later model 2004 builds with 2004.25 and newer production dates.

It's OK. It fit, it looks pretty but realistically won't know if it works any better until colder weather. Didn't replace a defective pump just replaced it while the engine was apart during a head gasket job. Ford 6.0's are junk until you put another 8 grand cash in them. Throw out the EGR, Upgrade the turbo, Replace the head bolts with studs and plane the heads while you're at it, Upgrade the fuel pump spring, Upgrade the FICM, Upgrade the oil cooler, Upgrade the HPOP lines, Upgrade the feed lines, Upgrade the water pump, ok, now you have a stock engine that will work for a while. At 150k replace the transmission, OK, now you can add a tuner, but only do it to control the sloppy shift points of the transmission and remove the EGR engine light. Don't buy a FORD, I don't know what to buy but don't buy a FORD, your cost of ownership will be at least 2 times what you pay for it. And don't buy a diesel because the EPA has totally ruined them.
